a message about giving thanks, by John A. Broadus

Colossians 1: 9 - 16 ... it is my blessing for you. The Lord bless you and fill you with the Knowledge of His Will in all Wisdom and spiritual Understanding; that ye might walk worthy of The Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the Knowledge of God; strengthened with all Might, according to His glorious Power, unto all Patience and Longsuffering with Joyfulness; giving Thanks unto The Father, which hath made us meet (appropriately fitted or prepared) to be (live as) partakers of the inheritance of the saints in Light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His Dear Son: in Whom we have redemption through His Blood, even the Forgiveness of sins: Who is The Image of The Invisible God, The Firstborn of every creature (man): For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

I Thessalonians 5: 14 - 24 Now, we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not The Spirit (of God Almighty). Despise not prophesyings. Prove all thngs; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of Peace (Jehovah Shalom) sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Messiah). Faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it.

IN EVERY THING, GIVE THANKS

[ an article taken from "Sermons and Addresses" by John A. Broadus. Published by the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Nashville, Tennessee. -- I copied this from Baptist Bible Tribune, November 2007, Vol. 59, No. 3, pages 13-14 ]

We hear a great deal said about habits. But it nearly always means bad habits. Why should we not think and speak much about
good habits? They are as real, and almost as great, a power for good as bad habits are for evil. We do our work largely by the aid of habit.

How much this helps one in playing on an instrument, or writing on a typewriter. Through many a familiar conjunction of notes or of letters the fingers fly with the very smallest amount of attention and exertion. Many a man who is growing old will every day get through an amount of work that surprises his friends, and it is possible becaue he works in the lines of lifelong habit. Besides, the only possible way to keep out bad habits is to form good habits. By a necessity of our nature, whatever is frequently and at all regularly done becomes habitual. If a man has been the slave of evil habits, and wishes to be permanently free, he must proceed by systematic and persevering effort to establish corresponding good habits.

The education of our children, both at school* (* at home or with parents' permission with a hired teacher -- blog owner's note) and at home, the self-education of our own early life, consists mainly in the formation of intellectual and moral habits. I think we ought to talk more upon this subject, in public and in private -- upon the power and blessing of good habits.

CONSIDER THE VALUE of the habit of thankfulness. It tends to quell repining. We are all prone, especially in certain moods, to complain of our lot. Every one of us has at some time or other imagined, and perhaps declared, that he has a particularly hard time in this world. It is to be hoped that in other moods we are heartily ashamed of ourselves for such repining.

But how to prevent its recurrence? A most valuable help will be the habit of thankfulness to God. Then if a fretful, repining spirit begins to arise (in us -- blog owner's note), just in the middle, perhaps, of some complaining sentence, we shall suddenly change to an expression of thankfulness -- and perhaps end with laughing at ourselves for the folly of such repining.

It tends to enhance enjoyment. We all know that when we receive a gift, with any true sentiment and any suitable expression of thankfulness, the reaction of gratitude augments our gratification.

It serves to soothe distress. Persons who are greatly afflicted, and not wont to be thankful, sometimes find the memory of past joys only an aggravation of present sorrow. Far otherwise with one who has learned to be habitually thankful. For him the recollection of happier hours is still a comfort.

It helps to allay anxiety. Did you ever notice what the apostle says to the Philippians? "In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made unto God. And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." (Messiah Yeshua) Notice carefully that we are to prevent anxiety by prayer as to the future with thanksgiving for the past.

IT CANNOT FAIL to deepen penitence. "The goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance." When we are fully in the habit of thankfully observing and recalling the loving kindnesses and tender mercies of our Heavenly Father, this will make us perceive more clearly, and lament more earnestly, the evil of sin against Him; and what is more, this will strengthen us to turn from our sins to His blessed service.

It has as one necessary effect to brighten hope. "I love to think on mercies past, And future good implore," is a very natural conjunction of ideas. If we have been wont to set up Ebenezers* (* stones of help, from Eben-ezer) upon our path of life, then every glance backwards along these milestones of God's mercy will help us to look forward with more humble hope.

It serves to strengthen for endurance and exertion. We all know how much more easily and effectively theyh work who work cheerfullly; and the very nutriment of cheerfulness is found in thankfulness as to the past and hope as to the future.

BUT REMEMBER THAT good habits cannot be maintained without attention. They require a certain self-control, a studious self-constraint. Is not the habit of thankfulness worth taking pains to maintain? The older persons remember Ole Bull, the celebrated violinist. I once dined in company with him, and in an hour's conversation across the table found him a man of generous soul, full of joble impulses and beautiful enthusiasms, and rich with the experience of wide travel.

And I was greatly interested in a remark of his which is recorded in the recent biography: "When I stop practicing one day, I see the difference; when I stop two days, my friends see the difference; when I stop a week, everybody sees the difference."

Here was a man who had cultivated a wonderful natural gift, by lifelong labor, until, as a performer upon the finest of instruments, he was probably the foremost man of his time; and yet he could not afford to stop practicing for a single week, or even for a single day. "They do it for an earthly crown; but we for a Heavenly."

Christian brethren, shall we shrink from incessant vigilance and perpetual effort to keep up the habit of thankfulness to God?

I SEE MANY YOUNG PERSONS present this evening. Will not some of you at once begin the thoughtful exercise of continual thankfulness? Will you not think over it, pray over it, labor to establish and maintain so beautiful and blessed a habit? Ah, what a help it will be to you amid all the struggles of youth and all the sorrows of age!

And in far-coming years, when you are gray, when the preacher of this house has long been forgotten, let us hope that you will still be gladly recommending to the young around you the habit of thankfulness.

John A. broadus was born in Culpeper County, Virginia, on June 24, 1827, and died in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 16, 1895. As a man, scholar, teacher, and preacher, he was genuinely distinguished. He received the M.A. degree from the University of Virginia. He became a member of the first faculty of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminar when it opened at Greenville, South Carolina, in 1859. for the next 36 years, he was professor of New Testament interpretation and homiletics. His commentary on Matthew and his _Preparation and Delivery of Sermons_ are still standard works. His pleasant personality, his accurate knowledge and clarity of expression, made him one of the superior teachers and preachers of his time.

God is at work ! Part 1

It's a great day ... in Yeshua! He is our Life!

Jeremiah 33: 3
"Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

John 15: 4-5
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in The Vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I AM The Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me, ye can do nothing."

John 15: 7-12
"If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples (disciplined ones; followers).
As The Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My Love. (agape)
If ye keep My Commandments, ye shall abide in My Love; even as I have kept My Father's Commandments, and abide in His Love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that My Joy might remain in you, and that your Joy might be full.
This is My Commandment, that ye Love one another, as I have loved you."

John 15: 14-17
"Ye are My friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father, I have made known unto you.
Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of The Father in My Name, He may give it (to) you.
These things I command you, that ye Love one another."

I Corinthians 13 (What an inspiration to read through this daily! How convicting to our hearts! A good "check-book" for us, as moms, to read through each morning, before we begin to work with our young ones.)

Ephesians 1: 15-21 and
Ephesians 2: 1-10 and
Ephesians 3: 14, 16-21

Colossians 1: 9-15 (here is a "powerful blessing" we can pray over our children or others we know)
"... (The Lord bless you to) be filled (by His Grace) with the knowledge of His Will in all Wisdom, and spiritual Understanding; That ye might walk worthy of The Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the Knowledge of God; (The Lord strengthen (you) with all Might (Greek "dunamis"), according to His Glorious power, unto all Patience and Longsuffering with Joy-full-ness (spelled that way on purpose -- blog owner's note); [ ;o) ]
(The Lord bless you to) Give thanks unto The Father, Who hath made us meet (appropriately fitted and prepared) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in Light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into The Kingdom of His dear Son: in Whom we have redemption through His Blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the Image of The Invisible God, the Firstborn of every creature:"

God is at Work in all our Lives, every day, as you can see demonstrated by the challenges that come to we moms who home educate our children, imparting
to them (along the journey of home education and family living) the life stories we have been given by God to share with them, so that they know the heritage they have come from, for them to see God's mighty, delivering Hand, healing Hand, protecting Hand, and loving Hand that He has used to work "good" for us, who are "the called according to His Purpose."

In our family, in recent weeks, God has been honing us down, with His loving file, as one smooths steel on a sword's blade edge. He has used iron to sharpen iron, as other believers have given us advice and exhorted us.
He has brought praise to His Name, through other believers being a part of something wonderful He is doing, in our family, to "provide" when there was no other provision, despite all the constant efforts of my husband to earn money for our family.

God is bringing glory to His Name in the way He is working through others to bring about the ministry work He is leading us to do, as home educators whom others are watching (as God allows others to watch each of you, as you go through each day, week and month, before their eyes -- when you are in public, or they cross paths with you in some way) and as those who are moving, at God's pace (in His timing) and with His direction,
as we have begun a teaching ministry in areas that include

(a.) creation science ("design" in science),

(b.) nutrition for improved health and energy (to lessen allergies, how to eliminate degenerative diseases from your life and from your children's lives, through spiritual, emotional, physical healing God brings about through correct knowledge and understanding, along with applying the new information you learn from those who have proved these "goals" are achievable and probable, since they have occurred in thousands of others' lives; we do not "sell" anything; we only share information that's been proven to be effective, through seminars we are offering to anyone; the positive effects of consuming more, purified water and proper, positive lifestyle changes),
("b." above will very soon also include: demonstrations of food and meal preparation, in an in-person "class format" either in homes or in church fellowship halls)

(c.) the truth about why the way I am clothed reflects my beliefs and my "walk" with God,

(d.) the truth about how everyone is affected by music with one kind of beat in it, as opposed to music with another kind of beat in it (a spiritual focus vs. a physical focus),

(e.) some creative ways parents can teach their children, and ideas for using God's Word for much of the education of their children (all the sciences, literature, spelling, phonics, grammar, language studies, health / hygiene and cleanliness and healing herbs and oils (medicine), character studies (God's character), civic studies, legal studies, government, logic, archaeology, geography, music, art, good communication skills / speech / debate ....

(f.) sharing ways in which God has used "problems" and "bad circumstances" that come along in life to bring us closer to His Heart, and give us opportunities to humble ourselves in His Sight, and
we get to show that when we are weak, He is able (then) to show Himself strong on our behalf, because we trust in Him and we "have to" put our faith in Him and His Faithfulness, and
we get to demonstrate that we are choosing to "abide in Him" more and more.

And, along with all that, God has somehow taught all 8 of us, in our family, to sing together in harmony, so that others who hear us are receiving encouragement, blessing and are giving the glory and thanks to God. We just love good music, thanks to God our Father. And we love to sing, making harmony together with the instruments God has provided for us to use -- our voices. Some of us do play "instruments," but we have not yet added those to what we offer to others who homeschool or to churches, to edification and encouragement.

Humor seems to be a "given" with our family, so if you are in a church that appreciates the humor in daily life, and of each of us seeing the funny side of ourselves or our children, or the different ways folks "speak," (we come from a background of more than one culture, neither of which are American, so maybe that is why we all seem to like imitating "accents" especially of people in the countries in our families' heritages ...) or the humor in our responses to those we relate to, ... if any of this sounds like it is something you think someone you know would like hearing, then you might wish to ask us to "come by" to your church, to "inspire someone" to make sure they include "humor" in their day to day teaching at home. If we can, we will "be right over."

Hope soon to add a photo of our family, taken about a year ago. It's time for a photo update, so we will also be working on that. Will upload what I can, as soon as possible. ;o)

The good Lord has been presenting to our family some very unique (to us) opportunities to show Himself strong on our behalf, and He has been putting us "back to a wall" financially, which can indicate several areas of lack in our character, but it could also be considered a form of an attack of God's enemy on a family whose leader is the president of a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, the Life in the Bible Institute, that seeks to inform both unsaved folks and believers of all the things I have listed above (and more, if the Lord leads us in that way). http://www.lifeinthebible.com http://www.openwordbase.com

Will hope to elaborate on some of this, as time allows, in "Part 2" ... and I will also hope that, if any of you wish to write me about anything I have written here, or in any of my former posts on this blog, you will feel free to email me at: kasayeshua@gmail.com

You may also visit: http://www.utmost-way.com
if you wish to learn any more about anything I have spoken of, above, since you can get to most of the information we "offer" to everyone, through links on that site.

May the Lord of all good, Who is the God of all comfort, and The Father of mercies, fill you with His Strength and Mighty power of Love in your inner being and with the knowledge of His Will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. !!!
The Lord rejoices over you with singing! Keep rejoicing over Him! He is "Mighty to save!" (He will deliver you from any and all troubles; though we must be willing to apply patience during the "trial") Yeshua's Name "means" deliverance or salvation (from danger or harm).
I know all of life can present challenges we think are "hard" or "nearly impossible to recover from," but God seems to see things from a much higher perspective -- He is all-wise. He will carry you through!

A Blessing is "hidden" in a Letter of long ago, for You

Dear friends, Isn't The Word, the Living Word of God, so inspiring to your heart?!

As you go through each day, please remember that someone is praying for you, somewhere. It may be a relative or a friend who has met you.

What have you been thinking about today? God has been urging me to spend more time with Him. For that desire to grow, it must be fed. If I have a proper "fear of The Lord," then I see Him with more understanding than I used to have.

God has put into the hearts of all who trust in Him, who fear Him with that reverential fear that urges us to want to honor Him, and to show Him we believe He rules over all that is in the universe, and we want that belief to shine through all that we do. We desire to please Him, in all we do. We believe He has all power in Heaven and in earth! We know He knows all that can be known, and at a much higher level than we are able to achieve. His thoughts are not our thoughts! His ways are higher than our ways!

"The fear of God" is hard for me to describe, in a way. Do you who believe also find that concept difficult to describe? Is it something you "know" deep inside? I am not asking if that is part of its definition. I mean "is it something that you, yourself, are aware of and knowledgeable of?"

God has enabled me to understand it within my own heart. And I wish all who read this blog would also know what the "fear of The Lord YHWH" means. Then we could all *live it,* as He desires we do. It leads us to do *the right thing* at all times. The fear of The Lord YHWH is the beginning of (true) Wisdom. That is true.

I will trust that He will also enable you to understand it, in a deeper way, once you have chosen to believe in and let yourself become aware of all that Yeshua (and YHWH) is and all that He wants you to know and all that He wants you to become.

There is a wonderful, most inspiring blessing in the first chapter of Paul's (Rav Shaul's) letter to the believers in Yeshua the Messiah who lived in Colossae, long, long ago. This blessing can be found in Colossians 1, verses 9 through 14 (and beyond).

I have included the entire chapter, so you can enjoy reading it all. God's Word is so rich and inspiring! I love reading it. Taking in and "digesting" the nourishing "food" that God Himself (YHWH) inspired men to write as "words" lifts me up, even while I may be in a period of life in which there are many tests, that make my journey similar to gold or silver being purifed with fire seven times. Once it has had all the dross removed by the refiner, it shines! And the refiner can see His own Face in that silver (or gold)! I want that! I want Yeshua my Lord and Deliverer / Redeemer to see His own Face reflected in my life. !!!

God uses all events and circumstances in life, as our ancestors knew well, to teach us, and to grow us, into His bright, even brilliant, diamonds. But diamonds endure much heat and much pressure, to become as beautiful as they are. ! He desires we allow His abundant, life-giving Light to shine through us into others' lives, so that they, in turn, can pass that spark (Light) on to still more people.

That way, God shows us that He desires all to have an opportunity to become aware of Him Who made us, and knows us better than anyone else can. He is the generous One, Who suffers with us, but Who also chose to give of Himself and of His Life, to make us honorable vessels He can use for good. He can fill us with His Life-giving power of genuine Love. And with that, He can let that Love overflow to others we meet.

He is The One Who intimately knew (while He was on earth) the griefs that we have experienced, and was tempted like as we are ... even to complain (though He did not choose to complain), or to ask His Father questions such as "why must I go through this?" or "why don't You come now and deliver me from this hard time? or this difficulty?" He knew why. He wanted not His Will to be done, but that of His Father in Heaven.

Yeshua, the true Anointed One, God's Messiah, really did take our griefs upon Himself, and He bore all our sorrows, while He hung (as a "curse") on "the tree" ... what many believers call "the Cross." He was despised and rejected by men who simply could not see Who He really was! But He voluntarily did it all ... for you and for me! wow! How limitless is His agape Love for you ... and for me! How generous the King of Kings is!

He desired fellowship with us! ... with you! ... and with me!
He says in His Word He rejoices over you (and me) "with joy"! Think about that!

His thoughts about you are so numerous every day that they cannot be counted (by a person)!

Do I allow Him to enjoy fellowship with me, in the way He wants us to spend time together, every day?

Do each of us set aside time to spend with our Best Friend, Who knows you and me much better than anyone else does, and yet He still chooses to show us the kind of unconditional Love that we do not deserve?

Will I be so glad to meet Him face to Face, that I can hardly stand to wait until that happens?
Do I look forward to dying (by Him designing it or allowing it, not me) so that I will "ever be with The Lord" of glory, *enjoying* His presence, because I have spent much time with Him, while on this journey on earth, in preparation for that time eternal, in Heaven?

Will I give Him my time, today? Will I choose to "meet" with my generous Giver of Life today, ... my gentle Deliverer, Who loved me even when I was unloveable and selfish (before I accepted His free gift of deliverance from the punishment I deserved for my sins and iniquities)?

Will I spend time with my groom?, my Prince, today? He is my Knight in Shining Armor! I am part of His bride, which is made up of all believers who have put their trust in Him, as Messiah Yeshua, our Redeemer.

Do I delight in Him? Delighting in Him, alone, can do things so wonderful and blessed that we can only know them by giving our whole lives to Him and to His service, for the rest of our days. !!! Delighting in Yeshua brings us more joy than we can express in words! This joy is only known by those who also experience those same joys, ... they are found only in fellowship with Him -- Yeshua, The Lord of glory. Through prayer! Through studying His Word! Through meditating on verses in His Word!

Will you think about this?: He has chosen you! (He has chosen me!) He has ordained me (He qualifies "the called"!), that I should go forth and produce fruit (souls He has "won" into His Kingdom, through me sharing Who He truly is, and what He has done in my life to bring me rebirth in Him), and that that fruit should "remain." (last) -- as He says in the Gospel of John, chapter 15, verse 16.

Only what I do righteously for God's glory will last. The rest will be burned up.

What will you do with this Man? -- The One Whom I call Yeshua?

He is waiting at the 'door.' He is a gentleman. He is patient, kind-hearted, and gentle.

He is humble and meek -- with His Strength under control, and He realizes Who He is, under His Father's authority.

Do I understand who I am? Do I realize how much I must depend on Him, every moment? -- for breath, for life, for everything I need ...

He can be trusted! He does all things the best way. He knows what I need, to make me more pure in heart, and more compassionate toward others.

He knows how to mold me, into the brilliant diamond, or the honorable vessel of clay, that He can use to point others to new life in Him, and to a most wonderful, most fulfilling and complete Life, in Him. But will I cooperate with Him, in the times when He must chip off my rough spots, or the parts of me that do not let His Light of Love shine through to others?

Let's choose to allow Him to do His purifying work in us. It hurts, while the "purifying" or "work of purging" is going on, but only because we want things as we like them. And even that would not be satisfying, truly. We deceive ourselves in that way. ... His Way is always best!

We can choose to see that, in all events of life as believers, He will ever be with us, and will guide us through all dark valleys into a wide and level place of Light (He calls it, in His Word). He will never forsake us, nor will He leave us.

He is ever with us! And He walks with us and goes through all that we go through. And He only allows as much as we can handle, with Him. He always enables us to bear it, but we must cry out to, or call upon Him, to help us and enable us to endure. He will give us strength and determination to do what is right, and do it wholeheartedly, knowing He fights all our battles, in reality. And He never loses; He always wins!

If we try to go through it and deal with "life," (on earth) by ourselves, by making our own decisions, or without asking Him to help us through it, we will miss all the help and sufficiency He has available to us, as His children.

Let's trust Him! He will carry us through! He holds us up with His everlasting Arms (of victory)! He cannot fail! He knows the end of all things! His plan is to bring us into our (and His) desired Haven of Rest! That is Yeshua! (and one might also say it is "Heaven")

May the Lord of goodness, Shalom Peace and true completeness and fulfillment fill you with reassurance that He will surely deliver you ... from all that you need deliverance from! He knows it all!

What is the future for "healthcare" that American citizens will choose ?

The email below was forwarded to me by a friend. It is worth reading.

The news is quite sad. Since plans for a Socialistic / Communistic form of government would be in Hillary's plans if Americans were to be so ignorant to elect her before they realize her true (underlying, cloaked in darkness) plans she has hinted at, but not yet unveiled. She wouldn't do that until she was already elected and in office. That's how deceivers and liars work, folks. Let's talk truth!

I do hope that my readers will share the email below with all whom they know. If everyone becomes well informed about "some" Presidential candidates, who do have a powerful agenda (though evil at its roots), no one would vote for a former Socialism / Marxism / Communism promoter.

Nor would any of us wish for our children or grandchildren to have to live under such an oppressive ruler. Nor would we wish our children or grandchildren to have to "wait" unreasonable lengths of time to be treated for some medical malady. Just ask any citizen in England what they think about their already-Socialistic healthcare system. They will tell you. It is horrible! Only the Queen and her family, and the rich there in England, get the personal, high-qaulity healthcare that every citizen is entitled to, under the law.

Our judges are out of control already, those in high positions, that is. They do not know the real intent nor understand the Constitution, since many law schools in recent years have let themselves fall into the pit of wrong thinking and believing lies about the history of our nation and the writings of all its founders. Please visit http://www.wallbuilders.com to learn more about "the real truth." The Library of Congress and other links David Barton has on his site (WallBuilders) will more than do the job of educating anyone who will take the time to read what's there, about our founders and what they truly believed, and hoped this republic would be "like," after they were dead and gone.

They would be appalled and completely opposed to any woman running for President! That is based on the limitless wisdom shared by One Who knows all things! He made all things! They would also do all they could to let all the citizens know the truth, and what's in store if they do elect someone of Hillary's caliber, to an office like that of President. She is nothing more than a puppet, used by a power mightier than she is, but one that seeks only to do evil, destroy anyone who believes in and follows the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and His only begotten Son, Yeshua ha Meschiach (Jesus Christ, the Anointed One of God).

If we do not share the truth about "what's going on" in our land, who will?
... blog owner. May The Almighty enable you, through His empowering Grace, fill you with all the wisdom, understanding and knowledge of Him that you need to carry out all your duties to Him and to those you serve, in Love (agape). May The Lord YHWH fill you with His Shalom Peace, and with His Spirit of gentle, forbearing Love, and enable you to walk worthy of Him to all pleasing, in meekness, bearing the infirmities of the weak. May The Lord most Compassionate fil you with a desire to help the helpless (elderly, sick and unborn) and show generosity to the poor around the place where you live. God surely gives His best! We should, also!!

Subject: Canada's Health Care System

GOT THIS FROM A FRIEND. WORTH THE READ.
-----
Subject: Canada's Health care system from a Canadians point of view.
Hey Guys; I seen on the news up here in Canada where Hillary Clinton introduced her new health care plan. Something similar to what we have in Canada. I also heard t hat Michael Moore was raving about the health care up here in Canada in his latest movie. As your friend and someone who lives with the Canada health care plan I thought I would give you some facts about this great medical plan that we have in Canada.
First of all:
1) The health care plan in Canada is not free. We pay a premium every month of $96. for Shirley and I to be covered. Sounds great eh. What they don't tell you is how much we pay in taxes to keep the health care system afloat. I am personally in the 55% tax bracket. Yes 55% of my earnings go to taxes. A large portion of that and I am not sure of the exact amount goes directly to health care our #1 expense.
2) I would not classify what we have as health care plan, it is more like a health diagnosis system. You can get into to see a doctor quick enough so he can tell you "yes indeed you are sick or you need an operation" but now the challenge becomes getting treated or operated on. We have waiting lists out the ying yang some as much as 2 years down the road.
3) Rather than fix what is wrong with you the usual tactic in Canada is to prescribe drugs. Have a pain here is a drug to take- not what is causing the pain and why. No time for checking you out because it is more important to move as many patients thru as possible each hour for Government re-imbursement
4) Many Canadians do not have a family Doctor.
5) Don't require emergency treatment as you may wait for hours in the emergency room waiting for treatment.
6) Shirley's dad cut his hand on a power saw a few weeks back and it required that his hand be put in a splint - to our surprise we had to pay $125. for a splint because it is not covered under health care plus we have to pay $60. for each visit for him to check it out each week.
7) Shirley's cousin was diagnosed with a heart blockage. Put on a waiting list . Died before he could get treatment.
8) Government allots so many operations per year. When that is done no more operations, unless you go to your local newspaper and plead your case and embarrass the government then money suddenly appears.
9)The Government takes great pride in telling us how much more they are increasing the funding for health care but waiting lists never get shorter. Government just keeps throwing mo ney at the problem but it never goes away. But they are good at finding new ways to tax us, but they don't call it a tax anymore it is now a user fee.
10) My mother needs an operation for a blockage in her leg but because she is a smoker they will not do it. Despite her and my father paying into the health care system all these years. My Mom is 80 years of age. Now there is talk that maybe we should not treat fat and obese people either because they are a drain on the health care system. Let me see now, what we want in Canada is a health care system for healthy people only. That should reduce our health care costs.
11) Forget getting a second opinion, what you see is what you get.
12) I can spend what money I have left after taxes on booze, cigarettes, junk foo d and anything else that could kill me but I am not allowed by law to spend my money on getting an operation I need because that would be jumping the queue. I must wait my turn except if I am a hockey player or athlete then I can get looked at right away. Go figger. Where else in the world can you spend money to kill yourself but not allowed to spend money to get healthy.
13) Oh did I mention that immigrants are covered automatically at tax payer expense having never contributed a dollar to the system and pay no premiums.
14) Oh yeh we now give free needles to drug users to try and keep them healthy. Wouldn't want a sickly druggie breaking into your house and stealing your things. But people with diabetes who pay into the health care system have to pay for their needles because it is not covered but the health care system.
I send this out not looking for sympathy but as the election looms in the states you will be hearing more and more about universal health care down there and the advocates will be pointing to Canada. I just want to make sure that you hear the truth about health care up here and have some food for thought and informed questions to ask when broached with this subject.
Step wisely and don't make the same mistakes we have.
Thanks for listening, Dean Simmons.

Friends, please consider seriously what is above. Please share it with all you know. ... blog owner. The Lord bless you and fill you with His Grace and Peace as you seek to bring glory to His Name, by knowing Him as well as you are able! Seek His Face continually!
If you need help in knowing "how" to do that, please email us at: kasayeshua@gmail.com We will do all we can to help you. We will answer all the questions we can. We will refer you to others, for answer we do not yet know. God has all the answers, so we are sure that whatever you wish to ask, you will receive the answers you need.
Life is hard. But God is our guide. He knows each pathway. His Son has suffered in all ways and been tempted in all ways that we are. But He overcame! He resisted and steared clear of tempations! He chose to listen to His Father's Voice from Heaven, and obey Him above all! We can, too. He enables us to, as we choose to give our lives to Him and follow in Yeshua's footsteps of Life. He has shown us the Way. He has given us instructions for life and godliness, on this earth. We only need to read, learn, apply and live what He has commanded us to know. Then we are "in Him," and that changes everything that we knew in the past. We then are able to do all He wants us to. We need only find out what that is, for us. He is ready to teach us. Will we listen to His Voice of Truth? Will we look to Him as our Deliverer? Will we call out to Him to deliver us from any form of trouble, harm or danger?
Once we have yielded / surrendered control over our lives to Yeshua the Messiah, then we are seated in the heaven places *with* Him! We have power over angels, and over the devil. Yeshua has made it all possible. We need not fear. We need not worry. We need not be reluctant.
If we will only believe and trust in His Word, and in Yeshua, and in what He promises in His Word, we need only ask (crying out to God our Father in the Name and through the Blood of Yeshua the Messiah) or call upon Him, and He will give us what we ask, according to His Will. We must simply and humbly ask, submitting our lives to Him, in agreement with His Will.
Then we will see what is true in I John 3: 18 - 24, and in I John 4: 1 - 4, and 7 - 21 and in I John 5: 1 - 21. I will endeavour to type out these verses in a soon-coming blog entry. God be with you!

Some Helpful Thoughts -- More about me (KasaYeshua)

Some thoughts about * KasaYeshua * (me)

I work with our family in a ministry that aims to restore faith / trust in The Foundation of all Knowledge -- God's Word.
The Bible, God's Holy Word, is worth reading, is all true, and everything in it either has already happened or will happen to real people.

You can read "tomorrow's" news there. One must "dig" to find in it the hidden "treasures," which we call Rhemas. God uses those to lead us and guide us. Yeshua is the center and focus of study.

He and the Father God are One. Sh'ma Yisrael, Adonai Elohenu, Adonai Echad. Yeshua is Melech ha Olam, the King of the Universe, The LORD !

I have been God's child since 1970. He drew me to Himself. He carried me through many trials and testings. He has never failed me. I have fallen, but He has picked me up every time. I have made big mistakes, but as I have repented, He has enabled me to follow Him better. He is faithful! He keeps all His promises!

He teaches me more about Himself, as I humble myself and let Him build in me His meek, God-fearing attitude of total dependence on Him. He is my all in all! He knows I can do nothing apart from Him! He has demonstrated to me that His Word is Truth, and that He wants to use it to both bring me to my knees, and also to lift me up in my spirit so high that I feel like I am soaring.

King David's Psalms inspire me afresh, each new day! I want to be a woman "after" God's own heart, like David.

He is my help and shield! He lifts me up when I am down. He shows me mercy when I show others mercy. He forgives me as I forgive others.

He has shown me He is whatever I need at any time! Baruch ha Shem El Shaddai ! My all-Sufficient One. Blessed be The Name! YHWH has bought me with the Blood of His Son, Yeshua. I am His.

He is enabling me to memorize verses in His Word, the Bible, so I can meditate on them, apply them to my life now, and learn to think more in agreement with God my Father. How encouraging that is!

I call these verses "Help Notes" He has written down, so I can use them like others use an instruction manual to guide them to use some piece of equipment. Rhemas in God's Word are the Sword the Holy Spirit uses to get down to the root of any problem, and bring a solution that only God could design. He is awesome!

Come join us in this journey. God is directing our paths. He has given us The Instruction Manual for Life. All we need do is read it and follow it, trusting its Author to use His design of us to benefit others' lives and through our weakness He shows Himself strong! His Name "El" means "strong."

Stand still and see the salvation (Yeshua) of The Lord ! He is ever with us! Fear not! The Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Amen! Hallelujah! Yeshua is Lord!

I can truly say He is my Light and my Salvation (Deliverer), my refuge and Strength, and my Haven of Rest. He has protected me from death and much suffering quite a few times! He is able to deliver you, too!

Yielding to God all areas of my life is a challenge, some times, and easy, at other times. But as I choose to give to Him my desires, plans, hopes and expectations, He has ever been so encouraging that I am not losing anything, but instead am gaining something I would not have had, had I held on to what I thought I wanted.

Do I value Him and a close relationship with God more than things on earth, that I know will not last? Do I see how I cannot grow close to God's loving Heart unless I let go of those things?

Am I willing to take Him at His Word and trust Him with my hopes and dreams? What I valued and held tightly to ... only allowed a wall to build up between God and me. I did not want that!!

Giving up what I (you) cannot keep will only gain for me (you) many blessings He is willing to give me (you). I found I only need to cry out to God and tell him everything. He will take care of it all, and will do a much better job of it than I can.

God will fight my battles for me. He just wants me to trust Him and believe His Word is true, and that He will accomplish that which I know I cannot do, anyway. He wants me to tell others about His Son, though (within myself) I am unable to do it. But He has paved the way.

If I just follow the example of His Son, Yeshua, in how to "win souls" to God's Kingdom, He will do the work through me, so others can turn their lives over to His control! He who wins souls is wise!

He is able. So ... on to victory! He gives me faith to believe, strength to accomplish all He gives me to do for Him, and He lives His Life through me, as I abide in Him, and walk with Him! wow! O Lord, help me to follow You faithfully! Thank You for giving me new life in Your Son, Yeshua! He is my Life !

A Prayer: Fill me with your Spirit in my soul (my mind, will and emotions) each new day, so that I can accomplish what only You could bring about by Your Power of genuine Love. That way, Your Name will be praised and glorified in what I do!

... that I may become less and less, and Your Son, Yeshua, may become more and more ....
ha Shem Yeshua. Amen.
